Vaccinations: protecting your furry friends

Vaccinations are critical in helping your furry friends fight off infectious diseases, many of which can be fatal. However, initial vaccination followed by regular boosters can protect them against these diseases.

Primary course includes two vaccinations 2 - 4 or 3 - 4 weeks apart (depending on the age and what pet you have) and two free consultations.

  • Puppies can start their vaccinations from around 7 - 8 weeks old and will need a second injection, usually 2 - 4 weeks after their first jab (but at least 10 weeks of age).
  • Kittens can start their vaccinations from 9 weeks of age and will need a second injection, usually 3 - 4 weeks after their first jab (but at least 12 weeks old).
  • Rabbits can be vaccinated from 5 weeks of age.

Annual Booster Vaccination includes a vaccination and a free health check.

If the annual booster vaccination or the second dose of the primary course is missed, your dog or cat (excluding rabbit) may need to be given the primary two-dose course again to ensure ongoing immunity. If your rabbit’s vaccine has lapsed, a single annual injection is all that is needed.
